Good, Better, Best:- Rank DMW, MAVIN, And STARBOY With These Ranks According To The Qualities They Posses

The Nigerian music industry has grown over the past 10 years with the help of numerous record labels. It happens to be one of the fastest growing sectors is Nigeria.

New artistes spring up from different places and with different thing. In order to manage this growth, the music industry has spreaded their umbrella. Although, quite a huge number of artistes are yet to be discovered by any record label.

There are a lot of Record Labels out there that are yet to be known, some have the resources but have not gotten the right artistes to invest them on and some do not have nothing but they have artistes who can make them successful.

There are some record labels who have none of theses. But the fact is that, a good label can make a good artiste know, and vice versa.

Notwithstanding, MAVIN Record, STARBOY, and DMW have been handful of good, well-structured labels that have produced most of the famous musicians in the country. The label owners themselves are also currently the best in the country and their record mates are always seen as the best replacement for them.

STARBOY originated as a brand name for popular Nigerian singer, Wizkid. After he left his former label EME in 2013, he established his own record label with the name STARBOY.

For now, Wizkid is the major artist in this label and so far has made great music following his relatively new label. Some of the associated music acts in his label include Maleek Berry, Terri, Legendary Beatz, L.A.X, Efya, R2Bees Ceeza Milli, and Mr. Eazi.

Davido Music Worldwide was established in 2016 by popular musician Davido who after setting up HKN Music with his elder brother decided to create a label where he could make all the decisions.

The label has since flourished in less than two years of its existence. In 2018, the label has been responsible for a large number of hit songs released already. It is home to Davido, Dremo, Ichaba, Yonda, Peruzzi, E-Cool, Mayorkun, Idowest, Popcaan, and most recently Saucekid.

Mavin Record could have still remained Mo’hit record and would definitely not have made this list cause it would be considered the best ever record label for the likes of D’Banj, Wande Coal and others would still be there. However Mavins was created after mo’hit broke down.

Mavin has several talented and popular artists, in fact, all of its artists are famous and successful. They include Tiwa Savage, Dr SID, D’ Prince, Ladipoe, Johny Drille, Di’Ja, Reekado Banks, Rema, Crayon, DNA, Iyanya and Korede Bello.

If these crew are to engage in a contest, it would be a bang! Mehn these guys get crew!
